José Mourinho to miss Benfica bench for Vitória after 11-day ban is upheld | OneFootball

José Mourinho will not be on the Benfica bench against Vitória de Guimarães after his 11-day suspension was upheld despite the club’s appeal, the FPF refereeing council said.

As in Arouca, the 63-year-old is barred from the touchline at Estádio da Luz during this period.

The federation’s disciplinary board also imposed a €5,355 fine. The punishment stems from Mourinho’s dismissal in the Benfica v Porto match at Estádio da Luz.

Benfica lodged an appeal seeking two outcomes, to overturn the match suspension served at Arouca and to prevent the 11-day ban.

Benfica host Vitória de Guimarães on Saturday, 21 March, in matchday 27 of Liga Portugal Betclic.
