Celtic captain Callum McGregor is reportedly a target for Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr. The 33-year-old has two years remaining on his deal with Celtic and he has been clear that he will be at Celtic for as long as his ambitions are met.

McGregor switched agents this summer, heightening concerns that he could be set to move on in the coming weeks. The expected route had been to link up with Brendan Rodgers at Al Qadsiah; however, the Irishman has no free spaces for foreign talent in his squad at present.

Although, now journalist Ekrem Konur is reporting that McGregor is wanted by Al-Nassr.

Although, it should be stated that Al-Nassr have also reportedly targeted Samu Costa from Mallorca. This would take the slot vacated by Croatian midfielder Brozović.

Postecoglou rates McGregor very highly and in the wake of his exit from Spurs and Forest last year, he put McGregor in his all-time best five-a-side team. Ange will want players that he can trust and can assist him in delivering over in Saudi.

McGregor would expect a sizeable pay increase should he move to Saudi, something that would likely be appealing given all that he has achieved at Celtic.

McGregor has made 576 appearances for Celtic, scoring 77 goals and assisting on 84 occasions. The former Scotland International has made the tenth most appearances for the club, joining an illustrious group of Celtic legends.
