Journalist explains conditions stopping AC Milan from signing Arsenal man

AC Milan are among the clubs interested in a move for Viktor Gyokeres, with Arsenal potentially allowing the Swedish forward to leave as he is no longer a regular starter for the club.

Gyokeres was an important player for Arsenal last term and benefited from Kai Havertz’s inconsistent fitness. However, since the beginning of this campaign, the German has been preferred ahead of him. Arsenal have consequently left Gyokeres on the bench for many of their matches, leading to speculation that he could leave the club at the end of the year.

AC Milan Face Difficulties Over Potential Deal

Several clubs are reportedly showing an interest in Gyokeres, including AC Milan and Juventus. The attacker would reportedly be open to leaving Arsenal if he does not receive guarantees that he will have regular opportunities to play.

A move to AC Milan, however, could prove difficult for the Italian club to complete. Milan would reportedly prefer to sign Gyokeres on an initial loan deal, but Arsenal are very unlikely to accept such an arrangement. The Gunners still consider the forward part of their plans, meaning that if he were to leave, they would want a permanent transfer that would allow them to sign a replacement.

The situation leaves Milan facing a significant obstacle if they want to pursue the forward. While Gyokeres could consider an exit if his position within the team does not improve, Arsenal’s preference for a permanent transfer could prevent Milan from reaching an agreement.

Pellegatti Explains Milan’s Position

Italian journalist Carlo Pellegatti has discussed Milan’s interest in Gyokeres and explained why he believes the move may not be possible. According to Milan News, Pellegatti said:

“I don’t think so, I don’t believe in the Gyokeres track because it would mean, on loan I don’t think they’ll give it to us at all, it would mean investing another 70 or 75 million for the striker, I’d rule that out.”

For now, Gyokeres remains part of Arsenal’s plans, but continued competition for his position could influence his future. AC Milan and Juventus remain interested, although Milan’s preference for a loan could make an agreement particularly difficult to achieve.
