Jude Bellingham lookalike contest in Shoreditch awards £1,966 voucher to student | OneFootball

A few hours before England’s World Cup semi-final against Argentina in Atlanta on Wednesday night, Shoreditch in east London staged a Jude Bellingham lookalike contest with about a dozen entrants and a £1,966 Deliveroo voucher on offer. The hopefuls aimed to convince judges they most resembled the England midfielder, who has six goals in six matches since the tournament began.

Marcus Legemah, 24, a University College London student, was named the winner. According to The Guardian, he later reflected on how often he is compared to Bellingham.

The prize, a nod to England’s 1966 World Cup triumph, was presented by an Erling Haaland lookalike.

Legemah said it is usually drunk pub-goers who tell him he looks like Bellingham, and that the comparisons have increased following the midfielder’s performances this summer.

He plans to use the voucher to celebrate the final with pizzas and beers, if England get past Argentina.
