At Groupama Stadium in the Champions League semi-final second leg, OL Lyonnes produced their most complete display of the season, Le Progres writes, mixing technical and tactical clarity with fierce togetherness and just enough nous.
Jule Brand kept her nerve to score the decisive goal, taken with real composure.
Across the match she threw herself into shoulder-to-shoulder duels within the laws and into tackles all over the pitch, both to defend and to tidy up a team-mate’s errant pass. Her relentlessness embodied the solidarity and bite that defined Lyon against Arsenal.
There were also silky, angled first touches to open midfield and spark counters. Crisp diagonals found the opposite flank and Kadidiatou Diani.
It was a collective performance, yet it owed much to a few standouts and a bold selection call. Giráldez’s gamble paid off.
