Julián Alvarez sends transfer promise to Barcelona | OneFootball

Atlético Madrid star Julián Alvarez has assured those in a position of power at La Liga rivals Barcelona of his readiness to do whatever it takes to push through a transfer this summer.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Wednesday provided a fresh insight into the situation.

Frontman Alvarez has of course been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona throughout the summer, considered the ideal Robert Lewandowski replacement by Hansi Flick and co.

To date, however, Atlético Madrid have refused to budge even slightly in their stance that the Argentine is not for sale under any circumstances, particularly to a direct rival.

But as alluded to above, Alvarez, it would appear, has not yet given up hope of ultimately sealing his dream Camp Nou switch this summer. In fact, this is far from the case…

As per a report from Sport:

‘Julián has already communicated with his entourage to (Barcelona director) Deco at the last summit in Madrid that he will directly transfer to the Atlético sporting management that his desire is still to leave the club this summer to sign for Barça.’

This message is expected to be passed along at some point next week. Alvarez is keen to maintain his professionalism, all the while doing whatever it takes to ensure that he can call himself a Blaugrana player before the transfer window slams shut.
