Julián Álvarez could be on his way out of Atlético Madrid this summer. Despite being under contract until 2030, the Argentine forward is reportedly tempted by a move to FC Barcelona.

Having joined in 2024 from Manchester City, Álvarez has become a key figure in Diego Simeone’s squad. This season, he’s racked up 12 goals and 6 assists in 34 appearances. Several English clubs are also monitoring his situation, including Arsenal FC, Chelsea FC, and Manchester United.

But according to reports coming out of Spain, the player’s top priority is Barcelona. The Catalan club is searching for a long-term successor to Robert Lewandowski, and Álvarez fits the profile they’re looking for to build the future.
