According to Sky Sports Germany, Julian Brandt has personally visited Leeds United as Daniel Farke pushes to sign the free-agent playmaker, with the club’s interest described as concrete and advanced.

The broadcaster said on Monday, 27 July, that the former Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder travelled to West Yorkshire to assess the facilities on offer. The 30-year-old is available after his contract at Signal Iduna Park expired.

The trip follows earlier summer meetings in Spain, where his agent and father visited Real Betis, and a prior tour of Thorp Arch by his father. His presence in Leeds suggests the Whites are a leading option for his next move.

Farke is a long-standing admirer of Brandt’s playmaking qualities and is pushing for his addition at Elland Road. He views the Germany international as a potential marquee figure to steer the midfield.

Ajax remain in pursuit, yet Brandt’s strong desire to test himself in the Premier League gives Leeds a clear advantage. He remains open to late Serie A movement, with a firm contract offer already on the table in West Yorkshire.
