Ceballos has emerged as the ideal candidate due to his vast experience at the highest level of football, coupled with his technical prowess.

It was reported earlier that Marseille and Ceballos have already reached an agreement, and all that was left was for the two clubs to reach a deal.

Now, Santi Aouna reports that Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Marseille over Ceballos’ transfer.

The Spanish international is likely to join the French club on a loan deal with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.

This transfer is logical for all parties involved. While Marseille were looking for a technical midfielder, Ceballos needed a club that could guarantee him regular game-time.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, are now able to get rid of a player, who has struggled to attract lucrative offers in recent years.

The Spanish giants will now hope that Ceballos can showcase his talents in Ligue 1 so that Marseille can easily snap him up on a permanent deal next summer.

It will be interesting to see whether Ceballos’ exit could open the door for Real Madrid to make a new signing, as the club have already been linked with a host of names recently.

With still a few days remaining before the transfer window closes, nothing can be ruled out, as far as Real Madrid are concerned.
