Jusuf Gazibegović joins Widzew Łódź on loan from FC Köln | OneFootball

1. FC Köln have confirmed Jusuf Gazibegović will spend 2026/27 on loan at Widzew Łódź in Poland’s top flight.

The 26-year-old Bosnian right-back heads to the Ekstraklasa after being told he was not in Köln’s plans for the coming season.

He would have liked another chance to prove himself at Köln, but accepts the management’s decision. He is happy to join Widzew Łódź, aiming to show his qualities from the start and become a regular starter again.

The club emphasised transparency throughout the process, informing him early so he and his agent could seek the best solution. The loan is viewed as beneficial for all parties and offers the chance for regular minutes at a good level with Widzew Łódź.

Gazibegović remains under contract with Köln until 2028 and will hope to impress during his spell in Poland before returning to the Bundesliga club.
