The final meeting of the new edition of the Twinning Project educational program, launched by Juventus, was held at the Ferrante Aporti Juvenile Prison in Turin. The initiative proposes a collaboration between clubs and local penitentiaries to offer inmates an educational and human journey through football, seen as a tool for education and personal growth.
Following its international success in the United Kingdom, Australia, Asia, South America, and South Africa, the Twinning Project is expanding to Italy thanks to the support of Enel Cuore, the Enel Group's philanthropic arm.
Four coaches from the Juventus youth sector accompanied 11 young inmates aged between 18 and 21 on a basic coaching training program that combined theory and practical training, focusing on various aspects of the game and personal growth: from training methods to pressure management, from on-field decision-making to the ability to address mistakes and teamwork. The sessions took place both in the classroom and in the gym and on the pitch, creating a structured and continuous learning environment.
"Through the Twinning Project, Juventus confirms its commitment to enhancing the social role of football as a tool for cohesion, education, and personal development," commented Greta Bodino, Juventus Chief People, Culture & ESG Officer. "The project was created with the aim of generating concrete opportunities for young people in vulnerable situations. This contribution is also made possible thanks to the work of our coaches, who support the young people with expertise and a sense of responsibility."
Sasha Fugazzola, President of Twinning Project ETS, adds:
"We are thrilled to have collaborated with Juventus over the past few months, which has immediately demonstrated great sensitivity and attention to the project's social impact. We firmly believe that football is a powerful catalyst, and thanks to the support of Enel Cuore and clubs like Juventus, we can truly have a positive impact on communities."
The educational program concluded with the awarding of certificates of participation to the young people involved, accompanied by a gift from Juventus: a symbolic moment designed to recognize their commitment and the results achieved.
The initiative is part of Juventus' broader commitment to promoting projects with strong social value, capable of generating concrete opportunities and contributing to the development of people, both on and off the pitch, in concrete implementation of the "Sustainable Local Club" pillar of the "Black, White & More" ESG strategy.
