Juventus make big call on Vlahovic

Juventus continue to seek a resolution to the Dusan Vlahovic situation, as the Serbian striker’s future remains clouded by financial and contractual complexities, according to Spazio J, Tutto Juve, and JNetwork24.

After an uneven campaign that produced 17 goals but failed to fully convince the club hierarchy, Vlahovic finds himself no longer central to Juventus’s plans amid shifting priorities in Turin. The arrival of Jonathan David and new direction under Damien Comolli have left Vlahovic outside the sporting project, with the club eager to avoid losing the forward for free when his contract expires in June 2026.

Negotiations between Vlahovic’s agents and Juventus have stalled, with the player reportedly preferring to see out the final year of his lucrative contract—worth around €12 million net per season—rather than accept a move that would require a pay cut. Juventus, for their part, are determined not to let him depart as a free agent and have intensified talks to find a mutually agreeable exit before the transfer window closes.

One possible solution, according to Tuttosport and as cited by Spazio J, has involved Juventus proposing an early exit accompanied by a severance payment, with Vlahovic and his representatives said to be seeking a €10 million payoff plus bonuses. While there is openness on both sides to a parting of ways, agreement on the terms remains elusive.

Interest from other clubs exists but is hindered by Vlahovic’s salary demands. Milan, long linked to the striker, are reportedly the only Italian side to make tentative approaches, but their maximum offer of €6 million per year falls short of the player’s expectations, as noted by Tutto Juve. Premier League and Bundesliga sides have conducted background checks, according to JNetwork24, but none have presented an offer matching Juventus’s implied minimum valuation of €25–30 million or are willing to meet the player’s wage requirements.

Juventus’s willingness to entertain bids for Vlahovic represents a significant shift in transfer strategy, reflecting both his reduced role and the need to balance the wage bill. The club’s position, as stated by Comolli, is to find a deal that suits all parties, with an openness to lowering initial financial targets if convinced by a serious proposal.

The coming weeks are set to be critical. Should no agreement be reached regarding a transfer or contract resolution, Juventus risk entering the new season with a high-earning player on the fringes of the squad and limited flexibility to pursue their targets in the market.
