Juventus ‘make contact’ for Issa Doumbia as Benfica join chase | OneFootball

According to Glorioso 1904, Juventus have entered the race for Venezia midfielder Issa Doumbia, drawing Benfica directly into the contest, with Sporting also monitoring the 22-year-old.

Juventus have held exploratory talks with Venezia to establish terms for a possible summer transfer, while the player is being tracked by several leading clubs.

Benfica, like other suitors including Sporting, have made initial approaches, viewing Doumbia as a candidate to strengthen midfield next season.

Venezia, newly promoted to Serie A, value him at around 25 million euros. That figure has not discouraged Juventus, who continue to evaluate the move, though Doumbia is not a top priority.

This season Doumbia has made 38 appearances for Venezia, 37 in Serie B and one in the Coppa Italia, totalling 3,189 minutes, with 10 goals and five assists. He is currently valued at 8 million euros.
