Juventus are initiating the process of identifying a successor to Mattia Perin, whose departure from the club looks increasingly certain, according to Tutto Juve and Bianconera News. As the Bianconeri look to maintain depth and quality in their goalkeeping ranks, the shortlist has narrowed down to three primary candidates.

The leading name under consideration is Elia Caprile, currently at Cagliari. Caprile, 23, has been watched closely by Juventus’ recruitment staff for his development and performances over the past season. His profile is seen as aligning with the club’s approach of targeting young, Italian talents with room for growth.

Two further candidates round out the shortlist. Lorenzo Montipò, at Hellas Verona, is reportedly attracting attention from both Juventus and crosstown rivals Torino, the latter viewing him as a possible replacement should Vanja Milinkovic-Savic depart. Montipò, 29, offers more experience than Caprile, having featured as a regular starter in Serie A in recent seasons.

The third option is Emil Audero, who would represent a return to Turin. Now on the books at Como after a loan spell at Palermo, the 27-year-old is familiar with the Juventus environment from his earlier years at the club. While his career has seen him move through several Italian sides, his experience and knowledge of the club’s expectations are valued by decision-makers, and his name remains a credible option should Juventus opt for continuity over a full reset in goal.

The urgency around the search has increased as Perin is linked with clubs such as Inter, who are considering him as a replacement for Yann Sommer, as noted in Bianconera News. Juventus are determined to ensure any change in the goalkeeping position is seamless, mitigating the risk of a drop in standards with a group of profiles offering a mix of youth, experience, and familiarity with Serie A.

While other areas of the squad are seeing extensive changes, including uncertainty in attack and at fullback, the approach to the goalkeeper succession has been focused and selective. Club sources suggest a decision is not yet imminent, with all three candidates being evaluated both in terms of technical suitability and financial feasibility.

The situation will remain under observation as the transfer window progresses, with Juventus expected to move decisively once a definitive signal on Perin’s exit arrives, according to reporting by Tutto Juve and Bianconera News.
