Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus have made an initial approach for Bernardo Silva and have submitted a first proposal. It comes a day after Pep Guardiola said the Portugal international would leave Manchester City.
The offer has been sent to Jorge Mendes, who represents the midfielder, as the Turin club try to steal a march on rivals.
Juventus are preparing a three-year contract thought to be worth around seven to eight million euros per season. Silva, a Benfica academy graduate, has turned down the Lisbon club.
Juventus are not alone in the race, with Barcelona and Milan also linked. Outside Europe, Inter Miami are keen on the 32-year-old.
The Italian side have also sounded out another Portugal international.
