Kai Havertz was named Germany’s Player of the Match after a 7-1 win over Curaçao in Houston on Sunday, the ideal start to their 2026 World Cup campaign. According to BuLi News, the forward collected the award after a dominant leading role.
Several team-mates were in the frame. Felix Nmecha scored in an all-action midfield display, while Joshua Kimmich and Nico Schlotterbeck also impressed.
Havertz led the line with authority, striking twice as Julian Nagelsmann’s side overwhelmed their opponents.
The 27-year-old converted both of his shots on target and made 11 touches in the opposition box, persistently troubling the Curaçao defence.
In possession he completed 88 percent of his passes in the final third and posted 93 percent accuracy overall.
He will now aim to carry that momentum into Germany’s next group game against Ivory Coast on 20 June.
