Winter revelation Kaïl Boudache, 19, has yet to sign his first professional contract with OGC Nice, leaving the club at risk of losing a leading academy prospect.

According to L'Équipe, the winger wants clarity on the club's project before committing. There is uncertainty over a possible takeover, Claude Puel's future and the sporting director who will replace Florian Maurice, while Ligue 1 safety is not yet assured.

Spotted under Julien Sablé then given a genuine role by Puel after his January return, Boudache has featured in each of Nice's last 11 matches. He scored his first Ligue 1 goal against Lorient in a 3-3 draw on 22 February, then netted in the Cup against Montpellier, 3-2.

Several French clubs have positioned themselves. He is not making it a question of money and remains committed, though he could feature less given the circumstances.

Another key file is Xavier Junior Mandza, 16, a highly rated left-footed France U17 midfielder. Major European clubs are tracking his technique, composure under pressure and set-piece delivery.

They watched him during Nice's run to the Coupe Gambardella quarter-finals. He converted a decisive panenka in the shootout against OM in the last 64 after a 1-1 draw, 5-3 on penalties, then scored the only goal at Monaco in the next round, 1-0.

Mandza is tied to an aspirant contract until June 2027 and is also waiting for clarity. If no agreement is reached, a summer transfer cannot be ruled out.
