Kaïl Boudache close to signing first professional deal with Lyon | OneFootball

Kaïl Boudache, the 19-year-old Nice winger, is expected to sign his first professional contract with Lyon from 1 July on a three-year deal to June 2029, with an option of two further years, after talks at Nice stalled.

According to L'Équipe, he has undergone a medical with Lyon and there is a verbal agreement in place, though nothing has been signed. Several Ligue 1 clubs had enquired, but a switch to Lyon now looks very likely.

Boudache is nearing the end of his aspirant contract at Nice. He joined the club at 15 from Olympique d'Alès en Cévennes, his hometown side.

Lyon outlined a clearer sporting plan, in contrast to Nice, who remain in flux late April as they fight for their Ligue 1 future. Nice are 15th on 30 points and significant changes are due to be made, potentially involving the sporting director, president and even head coach.

Introduced to the first team by Claude Puel in January, the diminutive winger has displayed his technique and explosiveness in Ligue 1, scoring two goals in 15 appearances in all competitions, with one start.
