Kaio Jorge missed Cruzeiro’s match against Fluminense because of a muscular complaint, keeping him on 12 Campeonato Brasileiro appearances and preserving eligibility for a move to another Série A club as Flamengo keep watch.
According to Coluna Do Fla, Flamengo have been tracking the situation closely after submitting bids in January, the most recent around 30 million euros, with Cruzeiro seeking 50 million euros. The earlier offer was valued at R$ 188 million at the time, while the asking price equated to R$ 314 million.
Before the Fluminense game, coach Artur Jorge played down any link to a departure. He said the forward needed to be physically ready and explained the omission was due to discomfort felt after the match against Barcelona (EQU).
The registration period is scheduled for 20 July to 11 September 2026, aligning with the European summer window and the end of the World Cup. The 19th round serves as the reference point for Flamengo to assess options and look at reinforcements for Leonardo Jardim’s squad.
Flamengo want an attacker with different attributes to Pedro, ideally someone who can operate as a number 9 and also as a second striker. Versatility in the front line remains a priority for the football department.
