Kaizer Chiefs have been dealt with a major blow ahead of their crucial CAF Confederation Cup clash against Zamalek SC on Saturday.
The Soweto giants will lock horns with the Egyptian heavyweights at the Suez Canal Stadium in Egypt to conclude Group D, with the knockout stages looming.
Chiefs head into the match sitting at the summit with 10 points amassed, while Zamalek trail with eights points - one more than third-placed Al Masry, who face already-eliminated ZESCO United.
With the finale on the horizon, co-coaches Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef will have to do without the reliable services of Aden McCarthy.
The 22-year-old defender will be serving a one-match suspension as he received his third yellow card of the competition during Chiefs' 2-1 win over Al Masry last weekend.
Moreover, influential centre-back Inacio Miguel is also not part of the squad alongside Bradley Cross, with the pair nursing injuries.
However, Nkanyiso Shinga, an off-season signing yet to don the famous Black and Gold jersey in an official match, travelled with the team to North Africa.
