Kang In Lee has returned to LaLiga EA Sports with a move to Atlético Madrid from PSG for around €45 million including add-ons, according to Superdeporte. The signing strengthens Atlético's attack after Antoine Griezmann's departure, and brings back a player well versed in Spanish football.
The South Korean first arrived at Valencia's Paterna academy at age 10, impressing coaches with his technical ability as he rose through the ranks. In summer 2021 the ownership allowed him to leave on a free transfer to Mallorca.
He later joined PSG, where he did not enjoy the expected prominence, but added to his honours with two Champions League titles by age 25.
Addressing Atlético supporters for the first time, he expressed delight at joining, eager to wear the shirt and begin a new chapter alongside the fans.
Under FIFA's solidarity mechanism, which allocates five percent of a transfer fee to training clubs between the ages of 12 and 23, Valencia will receive 3.5 percent and Mallorca 1.5 percent.
Valencia are set to bank €1.4 million from the deal.
