Karlsruhe set to sign Finnish international Väänänen | OneFootball

Karlsruher SC are set to add a national team player to their ranks with the imminent transfer of Finnish international Santeri Väänänen from Norwegian side Rosenborg BK. According to Sky Sports, the 2. Bundesliga side reached full agreement for the signing of the 24-year-old midfielder.

The transfer fee is around €100,000 as the defensive midfielder agreed to sign a deal until 2029, as transfer expert Florian Plettenberg reports. He also noted the medical is already completed on Tuesday.

The six-time Finnish international has played 71 Eliteserien games since joining Rosenborg from HJK Helsinki. Karlsruhe were looking for reinforcement in central midfield after Nicolai Rapp joined 2. Bundesliga rivals Dynamo Dresden as a free agent.
