Kasimpasa have submitted an offer for Sochaux midfielder Elson Mendes, who has one year left on his contract, and he could leave the newly promoted Ligue 2 club.

According to L'Équipe, the Istanbul side are the first to table a bid and negotiations are now under way.

The Cape Verde international is 20 and has one cap.

Kasimpasa finished 13th in last season's Turkish league. The value of their proposal has not been disclosed.

Interest from French clubs has yet to progress into bids, giving the Istanbul outfit an early advantage.
