Noah Katterbach has signed a new contract with Hamburger SV and will spend the 2026-27 season on loan at Eintracht Braunschweig, the club said in a statement, with sporting director Claus Costa praising his resilience after setbacks, noting his willingness to support the U-21s in the Regionalliga, and stressing the need for regular playing time to find rhythm.
The 25-year-old initially joined HSV on loan from 1. FC Köln in 2022-23, then completed a permanent move in January 2024.
Injuries restricted him to 27 competitive appearances for HSV, with one goal and three assists.
The move is intended to provide consistent minutes and help the left-back regain rhythm in the coming campaign.
HSV have agreed to his request for a change of scene to aid his progress.
