Manchester City have been very active in the January transfer window.
The Citizens have completed transfers for Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis, Omar Marmoush and Juma Bah.
But Man City are not done yet, as they are looking to add a defensive midfielder before the February 3 deadline.
Apart from the incomings, Pep Guardiola’s side will also want to keep hold of their key players.
Kevin De Bruyne’s future at the Etihad Stadium is one of the biggest talking points, with the Belgian’s contract expiring in June.
However, in a good news for City fans, De Bruyne wants to extend his stay in Manchester by signing a new deal, per The Times.
The 33-year-old has interest from the Saudi Pro League and the new Major League Soccer franchise San Diego FC.
But he is reportedly happy at his current club and is willing to pen a new contract.
De Bruyne is arguably one of the finest attacking midfielders of all time.
He has played a significant role in City’s successes over the years. In over 400 appearances across all competitions, the Belgium international has registered an incredible 104 goals and 173 assists.
De Bruyne, dubbed as a “genius” by Shaun Wright-Phillips, has lifted six Premier League trophies with the Citizens.
Despite suffering a hamstring injury in September, he has featured in 23 games for his team this season.
