In a recent update provided by SPORT, it has come to light that Alejandro Balde has been given the green light to return just in time for their Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain.
Notably, the left-back has been training with the squad for the past few days, but Hansi Flick chose not to risk him in the recent win over Real Sociedad.
Now, after getting medical clearance, he is ready to be included in the squad and could make his long-awaited comeback in Paris.
Balde’s season has been disrupted by a hamstring injury picked up in September, which kept him sidelined for several weeks.
The club’s medical team were cautious in handling his recovery, mindful of his history with muscular problems.
While the 21-year-old is now fully fit, he is still lacking match rhythm, meaning Flick will have to decide carefully how many minutes he can handle against PSG.

In Balde’s absence, the Barcelona coach has rotated several options at left-back. Gerard Martin has featured most regularly, but Flick has also shifted Eric Garcia and Ronald Araujo into the role when needed.
Even youngster Jofre Torrens was handed minutes, underlining the shortage of natural choices in that position.
With Balde available again, Flick has one of his key starters back in the mix. The Spanish international adds not only defensive stability but also attacking drive from the flank, something Barcelona have missed during his absence.
Still, Flick is expected to take a cautious approach, likely easing him back with limited minutes before restoring him as a permanent starter.
His return comes at a crucial moment for Barça, who face one of Europe’s fastest and most dangerous attacks in PSG.
Balde’s recovery is not just positive news for Flick, but also a timely boost for Barcelona’s hopes of advancing in the Champions League.
