Key Barcelona star ‘is not untouchable’ this summer | OneFootball

A leading member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona could be on the move in the case of a sufficient offer arriving for his signature this summer.

That’s according to transfer insider Matteo Moretto, who highlights Alejandro Balde as the player in question.

Stopper Balde has for his part continued to play a key role for Barcelona across the season to date, acting as Hansi Flick’s first-choice left-back.

His performances, however, have long come under scrutiny, on the part of fans and the media alike.

Question marks continue to be raised over the Spaniard’s efforts on both sides of the ball, with Balde often looking a shell of his once explosive self.

And as alluded to above, such shortcomings do not appear to have gone unnoticed amongst those in a position of power at the Spotify Camp Nou.

As per journalist Matteo Moretto, speaking on Radio MARCA this week:

“Deco has his ideas, and among them are doubts about Alejandro Balde’s future. Barça would listen to offers; Balde is not an untouchable player.”
