Kingsley rescues late point as Hearts climb to second

Kilmarnock 1-1 Hearts at Rugby Park, with the visitors climbing from third to second in the Scottish Premiership.

In the 13th minute, a Hearts goal by Laurent Mendy was ruled out after a VAR review. Jamie McCart then put through his own net (16.) to hand Kilmarnock the lead.

After the restart, Stephen Kingsley swept in the equaliser from the centre of the box following a set piece (86.). Earlier, home goalkeeper Callum Ferrie had saved from Calvin Miller as Hearts pressed.

Hearts recorded 17 attempts and controlled 66.7% possession. Kilmarnock managed four attempts and did not register a shot on target.

The result lifts Hearts from third to second. Kilmarnock remain 12th. Next, Kilmarnock visit Rangers. Hearts host St Mirren.
