Köln ‘linked with’ Hoffenheim’s Umut Tohumcu and Aachen’s Mika Schröers | OneFootball

Köln are being linked with Hoffenheim’s Umut Tohumcu and are monitoring Aachen’s Mika Schröers, according to RTL/ntv and The Express.

Tohumcu, 21, is under contract at Hoffenheim until 2028 and spent last season on loan at Holstein Kiel in the 2. Bundesliga.

Details of any approach from the side that finished 14th in 2025/26 remain unclear. He recorded one goal and three assists across 13 league appearances, so other clubs, as well as Köln, are likely to be monitoring developments.

The Express reports that Köln are keeping tabs on Schröers after his 21 goals and 11 assists in the 3. Liga. The paper suggests he could provide cover for Ragnar Ache or partner him up front.

Schröers, 24, came through Borussia Mönchengladbach’s academy, moved to Arminia Bielefeld in 2024, then joined Aachen last year and quickly impressed.
