Köln head coach Lukas Kwasniok – always a friend of an epic press conference rant – has delivered another jewel. This time, Kwasniok responded to a question about Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga dominance by embarking on a long tirade. Kwasniok began by openly acknowledging that he isn’t always the most concise individual.

Kwasniok mocks the question

I’ve never been one who feels totally at home in the media, but how can this be construed as ‘positive’?” Kwasniok began. “Leipzig, Dortmund, Leverkusen in second place. You tune that all out. Eintracht Frankfurt [are treated like] they’re being relegated. Everything is written off. The expectations and standards are so high that second place no longer has any worth. That’s a total ‘system error’.”

Kwasniok eventually gets back to his point

I have the feeling that, below second place, everything is abysmal,” Kwasniok ultimately said after drifting off on some tangential topics for a minute or so. “This notion that al the others are awful and no fun to watch is weird. The stadiums are always full. We’re doing well and having fun. One perspective says it’s terrible, but it’s not so terrible. Everything’s okay.
