Vincent Kompany has issued injury updates on Tom Bischof, Lennart Karl and Alphonso Davies ahead of Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga trip to Heidenheim on Saturday and the Paris Saint-Germain second leg on Wednesday.
According to BuLi News, Bayern are hopeful Bischof and Karl could be available for the Champions League semi-final second leg, with Bischof potentially returning at Heidenheim while that match comes too soon for Karl.
Kompany said Karl has missed the last four games in all competitions with a torn muscle fibre. As it is the youngster’s first injury, he believes a quick and complete recovery is possible, but the staff will stay cautious. Karl will do everything to be ready for PSG, while they respect the body’s limits.
Kompany said Davies was withdrawn at half-time against PSG due to a minor issue. The Canada international trained individually on Thursday and, if he feels good, will join full training today.
Kompany added that the winger felt something during the first leg, so the half-time call was correct. He noted he was not there and said the weekend plans will be determined after training.
