Kostons strikes early as Zwolle climb to 10th | OneFootball

PEC Zwolle beat Fortuna Sittard 1-0 to climb from 14th to 10th in the Eredivisie.

In the sixth minute, Koen Kostons turned in Shola Shoretire's cross from close range.

Tom de Graaff kept Zwolle in front, parrying Ryan Fosso's drive (43.). Earlier, Mattijs Branderhorst had gathered from Thijs Oosting as the hosts looked for a second.

After a triple change (59.), Fortuna Sittard introduced Dimitris Limnios, Makan Aïko and Paul Gladon. Gladon then struck the right post from a Limnios cross (76.).

De Graaff later denied Kaj Sierhuis with a low stop (78.).

Fortuna Sittard had 64.8% possession and won 12 corners as they pressed. Zwolle registered eight attempts and two corners, defending their area with depth and discipline.
