Barcelona will face off against Deportivo Alaves at the Mendizorrotza Stadium this Wednesday night as they look to secure a good result on the road in La Liga. The Catalan club managed to earn a solid 2-0 win over Real Madrid on route to lifting the La Liga title last weekend, so their confidence would be sky-high ahead of this game.
Hansi Flick will opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his first team for this clash. Jules Kounde, Alejandro Balde and Ronald Araujo could all play from the start of this game.
Joan Garcia will feature in between the sticks for the Catalan club after he kept a clean sheet in his last appearance. Eric Garcia will play alongside Ronald Araujo at the centre of Flick’s defence as they look to keep the opposition at bay during the 90 minutes.
Jules Kounde will try to give a good account of himself as the right-back, while Alejandro Balde hopes to prove his value on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will try to go forward and express themselves inside the opponent’s half.
Pau Cubarsi and Joao Cancelo will be named on the bench as they offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Pedri and Frenkie De Jong will operate as the holding midfielders as they focus on winning the 50-50 duels at the centre of the park and engineering some inviting chances in the final third.
The talented trio of Fermin Lopez, Gavi and Marcus Rashford will function just ahead of them as part of Flick’s attack. All three of them need to link up play well in and around the Alaves penalty area if Barcelona are to come out on top this week.
Marc Bernal, Marc Casado and Dani Olmo will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Robert Lewandowski will spearhead Barcelona‘s attack up top. He has to figure out a way to be a constant menace in the final third.
Ferran Torres will make up the numbers on the bench as he waits for his chance to shine in the latter stages if required.
