But there is more to come, and recent reports indicate that Los Blancos are particularly serious about signing Michael Olise.

The Bayern Munich forward has emerged as Florentino Perez’s Galactico target in attack, with Real Madrid ready to cough up €200 million for his services.

Amid reports linking Olise to the Santiago Bernabeu, his national teammate and Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe has heaped praise on the Bayern star.

Mbappe full of praise for Olise

“With Michael it’s super easy, because he is a player who always keeps his head up. With him you only have to think about offering him a solution, a passing line, and he sees it. I knew it and it was super cool,” Mbappe said (h/t MARCA).

The comments came in the wake of France’s 3-1 win over Senegal in their opening match, with Mbappe particularly appreciative after Olise set up one of his goals.

Olise impressed throughout the game, drifting across the pitch and linking play despite starting nominally on the right wing.

A nudge towards a Galactico move?

Many had tipped Olise as the kind of game-changing star Real Madrid could pursue this summer, and with Mbappe now publicly endorsing him from his position as France captain, it reads as a clear nudge towards the club’s hierarchy.

Real Madrid have already been busy in the market, completing several high-profile signings in recent days, but the search for a true marquee addition continues.

Florentino Perez has spoken of his intention to land a Galactico, and Olise’s profile fits that billing.
