Kylian Mbappé returned to Real Madrid training on Monday, easing fears before Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final second leg at Bayern Munich.

According to BuLi News, he sat out Sunday’s session after taking an elbow to the head in the 1-1 draw with Girona, later sharing an image of the wound on Instagram.

His availability is a timely boost as Real travel to the Allianz Arena aiming to overturn a 1-2 deficit from the first leg at the Bernabéu.

There appears to be little doubt he will start in Munich.

Mbappé will be key to their hopes of turning the tie, having scored Real’s only goal in the first leg.
