According to L'Équipe, an ultrasound on Saturday revealed no serious damage, and the mood among Madrid's medical staff was optimistic.

The forward will undergo an MRI on Monday to examine the area in greater detail and to establish any possible time out.

Real's doctors usually wait at least 48 hours for the area to settle before issuing a precise diagnosis.

His participation in Real Madrid's trip to Espanyol Barcelona next Sunday evening has not been ruled out.
