Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé secured for himself a place in the club’s storied history books, during Los Blancos’ most recent outing.
This of course comes after the Frenchman notched a key goal, en route to Xabi Alonso’s troops booking their spot in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup.
Real Madrid were back in action over the weekend, locking horns with German heavyweights Borussia Dortmund in the USA.
Frontman Mbappé, for his part, was introduced off the bench in the clash, still recovering from a recent bout of illness.
As alluded to above, though, the 26-year-old went on to make his presence firmly felt.
After proceedings rolled into injury-time, Mbappé conjured up a moment of acrobatic excellence, to notch his side’s third goal in a 3-2 triumph.
And in the process, the 2024 summer arrival in Spain’s capital made history.
As revealed by OneFootball:
‘Kylian Mbappé is the first player ever to score in seven different competitions in a single season for Real Madrid.’
The explosive attacker managed to find the net in all of La Liga, the Champions League, Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cup, FIFA Intercontinental Cup, UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup.
