Several leading members of the first-team setup at La Liga giants Real Madrid have moved to pay their respects to Liverpool star Diogo Jota.

This of course comes after the tragic sudden death of the Portuguese earlier today.

Both Jota and brother André Silva were involved in a fatal car accident in Spain in the early hours of Thursday.

The Liverpool forward’s passing comes mere weeks on from his marriage to partner Rute Cardoso.

The world of football has been left in an utter state of shock by the news of today’s events, with messages of tribute, well wishes and more having long come flooding in from across social media.

And as alluded to above, amongst those to have paid their respects were some of the most high-profile players and staff members from Real Madrid.
