Kylian Mbappé’s knee injury misdiagnosed following Real Madrid error | OneFootball

According to a report from The Athletic, Kylian Mbappé’s (27) knee injury was misdiagnosed by Real Madrid fitness staff. This was after a scan was completed on the wrong lef. Therefore, identifying no injury to the France international forward. 

After no injury was found on the 27-year-old’s uninjured right knee, he featured in three matches for the La Liga outfit before the mistake was identified and rectified. Mbappé continued to play despite having signs of inflammation in his left knee. 

Mbappé suffered knee ligament tear

Scans, which were later completed on the former PSG forward’s left knee, revealed that he had suffered a partial posterior knee ligament tear. The Frenchman was out of action for 5 matches after the injury was identified and diagnosed correctly.
