Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has taken to social media, to reveal his appreciation for the efforts of new teammate Víctor Valdepeñas.

This of course comes fresh off a night to remember for the latter on Sunday.

Defender Valdepeñas was for his part afforded his first-ever start at senior level yesterday evening.

Amid the ongoing personnel crisis in Los Blancos’ squad, the 19-year-old was afforded the chance to impress by manager Xabi Alonso, in a La Liga meeting with Deportivo Alavés.

And en route to an eventual 2-1 triumph, for the most part, impress is what Valdepeñas did.

Though at times raw and looking understandably inexperienced, the young Spaniard showcased precisely why he has for so long been held in such high regard behind the scenes in Spain’s capital.

And as alluded to above, quick to make his appreciation for these talents known post-match on Sunday was none other than Kylian Mbappé.

Taking to his official Instagram account in the game’s aftermath, the Frenchman responded to a post of Valdepeñas holding his debut jersey, with a ‘clapping’ emoji:
