Speaking to the media recently, RCD Mallorca midfielder Pablo Torre has openly expressed his desire to return one day to FC Barcelona.
The young Spaniard left the Catalan club last summer in search of regular game-time after having struggled for minutes under Hansi Flick. In fact, in an interview before the end of last season, he made clear his dissatisfaction with his limited playing time.
This ultimately led to his move to RCD Mallorca, where he signed a five-year contract, with an optional sixth year, in a deal worth €5 million.
Barcelona, however, retained 50% of his rights and included a buyback option set at €10 million in the first year, rising to €12 million in the second.
Torre left Barcelona disappointed by his lack of prominence but grateful for the experience. During his time at the club, he built strong relationships within the squad and continues to stay in contact with several former teammates.
Despite his departure, he admits that he still feels a sense of unfinished business and hopes to prove himself at the highest level in the future.

“What I experienced there was a dream. You arrive young, you see the teammates I’ve had, and now that I’ve left, I can say that many of them are friends; I still talk to them,” said Torre, as quoted by SPORT.
“The truth is that I miss a lot of them, but that’s life; I wish them all the best and hope to be able to return in the future,” the Spanish midfielder added.
For now, Torre remains focused on his role at Mallorca, where the main objective is to secure survival in La Liga. However, he did not hide his long-term ambitions.
“My goal this year has to be to help as much as I can, obviously to secure survival, but well, hopefully in the future I can play here at Mallorca – which is incredible – and why not return to Barça, obviously.”
After an initial period of adaptation, Torre has begun to find his footing, particularly under the guidance of Martin Demichelis, who has given him a more prominent role.
The 23-year-old attacking midfielder has played 30 matches in all competitions, recording three goals and three assists so far.
