La Liga president Javier Tebas has this week reiterated his stance that Real Madrid should be held accountable for the actions of the club’s in-house media channel this past season.
RMTV of course grabbed the headlines across Spain on a number of occasions in 2024/25.
This came after the Blancos’ official TV channel ruthlessly targeted La Liga’s referees, both before and after their side’s fixtures.
In the buildup to games, RMTV regularly put together highlight packages of alleged past mistakes on the part of the official due to take charge of their side’s next outing.
Post-match, it was then the official’s ensuing performance which came under the microscope, with calls and non-calls alike dissected and called into question.
One individual who was never shy in making clear his dismay with such behaviour was the aforementioned Javier Tebas.
And as alluded to above, this week, La Liga’s president has again taken firm aim at Real Madrid and their media platform alike.
In quotes relaid by Radioestadio Noche, Tebas reiterated that the capital club ‘should be sanctioned for the videos’ of last season:
“The ruling states that there are indications that the RMTV videos violate several articles of the RFEF Regulations. As a jurist, I believe that Real Madrid should be sanctioned for those videos.”
