As the soap opera involving Barcelona and their attempts to re-register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor drags on, there is now a fresh update provided on the matter by journalist Toni Juanmarti.
Having failed to register the pair before midnight on December 31, Barça have been scrambling to resolve the issue even though there has been very little indication that La Liga or the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) will change their stance.
The Blaugrana continue to insist that they have sent all the documentation pertaining to the €100 million Camp Nou VIP seats package agreement to La Liga. And, having received the pending €28 million payment for the same earlier today, they remain confident.
However, as per the latest information obtained by Juanmarti, La Liga and RFEF have told several journalists in the last few hours that they will not give the OK to the re-registration of Olmo and Pau Victor.
As such, for Barça to re-register the pair, they must once again go to the courts and seek a resolution through legal means.

If things turn out this way, the Blaugrana have a plan in place wherein they will seek precautionary measures from the ordinary courts enabling Olmo and Victor to continue playing.
Barcelona plan to argue that the current rules, which set a deadline of 31 December for player registrations, are unfair.
The club believes the deadline should align with the end of the winter transfer window on 2 February. This would give clubs the entire month of January to manage player transfers and adjust their salary limits, which is not feasible during December.
Either way, the situation leaves the Barça administration in a bad light considering how the entire situation has been handled.
As for Olmo and Victor, if they are not registered, they will be ineligible to play for the rest of the season and cannot leave the club on loan either.
In Olmo’s case, however, he has an option to leave the club as a free agent thanks to a special clause in his contract, although the player remains intent on staying put at Barcelona.
