During the first half of the season, Karl Etta Eyong appeared destined to take La Liga by storm this season, racking up six goals in ten matches.
His blistering start did not go unnoticed, with Barcelona even being linked with a move for the striker during the January transfer window. However, the fervour around Eyong disappeared after a lacklustre second half, where he scored only one goal.
Despite finishing the season with just seven goals, Eyong has not lost hope and dreams of a move to Barcelona.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Cameroonian forward has already rejected an offer from CSKA Moscow, who were willing to offer him a salary of €6 million.
It appears the striker is holding out for a move to Barcelona, knowing that the club are keen on signing a new striker following the departure of Robert Lewandowski.
Eyong does have other options as Tottenham, Everton and Stuttgart are also interested. But he is ready to wait for Barcelona.
The report adds that Eyong doesn’t see himself as a guaranteed starter at Barcelona.

But at a time when Lewandowski is leaving, the 22-year-old is more than happy to act as a secondary option for Hansi Flick in the number nine position.
He is young and has room for growth. Not to mention, Barcelona’s poor economic situation may see them miss out on the opportunity to sign a big-name striker this summer, although they have received encouraging updates on Julian Alvarez in the past 24 hours.
Eyong, for his part, believes he can realise his dreams at Barcelona and follow in the footsteps of his idol, Samuel Eto’o.
