Top 5 African goal scorers in La Liga

African strikers are struggling in La Liga. To find the continent’s leading scorer, you have to go down to 21st place. That spot is shared by the duo of Karl Etta Eyong and Akor Adams.
Far behind Kylian Mbappé and his 23 goals, two Africans are tied at the top of the La Liga scoring charts among players from the continent: Karl Etta Eyong and Akor Adams. The Cameroonian has netted 6 goals in 23 matches for Levante, while the Nigerian has also tallied 6 in 20 games for Sevilla.
Left out of Emerse Faé’s squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Ivorian international Nicolas Pépé has scored three goals in 24 appearances for Villarreal.
That’s the same tally as Senegal’s Pape Gueye, hero of the AFCON final against Morocco, and Azzedine Ounahi, the unlucky finalist with the Atlas Lions.
Here’s the Top 5 African goal scorers in La Liga:
1- Karl Etta Eyong (Levante): 6 goals (23 matches)
2- Akor Adams (Sevilla FC): 6 (20)
3- Nicolas Pépé (Villarreal): 3 (24)
4- Azzedine Ounahi: 3 (11)
