LaLiga confirms 2025/26 promotion play-off schedule, all ties at 21.00 | OneFootball

On Tuesday, LaLiga confirmed that the 2025/26 promotion play-off to Primera División will be staged entirely at 21.00, running from Saturday 6 June to Saturday 20 June for the final LaLiga EA Sports berth.

The format is unchanged, with the teams finishing third to sixth in LaLiga Hypermotion involved. Third meet sixth and fourth play fifth over two legs, with the winners contesting the final.

The semi-finals open on Saturday 6 June with the sixth-placed side hosting the third. The other first leg follows on Sunday 7 June, when the fifth-placed side hosts the fourth.

The returns are midweek, on Tuesday 9 June for third vs sixth and Wednesday 10 June for fourth vs fifth, both at the higher-ranked club’s ground.

The final begins on Sunday 14 June, with the decisive second leg on Saturday 20 June at the better-placed team’s stadium.

Sporting advantage applies throughout, as higher-ranked sides play the second leg at home and progress if a tie remains level after extra time. There will be no penalty shootouts.

Racing de Santander and Deportivo de la Coruña have already sealed automatic promotion, while Almería, Málaga, Las Palmas, Castellón, Burgos and Eibar enter the final day still in contention for the play-offs.

All fixtures will be shown on LaLiga TV Hypermotion and Fútbol 2, with the final also available on Movistar Plus+. The winners will join the two automatic promotees in Primera División next season.
