LaLiga matchday 26 controversies: VAR awards Rayo goal against Athletic | OneFootball

As reported by AS, the controversial incidents from LaLiga EA Sports matchday 26 are reviewed by Iturralde González. In Rayo Vallecano against Athletic, a first half strike required VAR intervention.

In the 35th minute, Jorge de Frutos put Rayo ahead from an Álvaro García pass.

Referee García Verdura initially signalled offside and disallowed the goal, judging Álvaro to have been ahead of play in the build-up.

Following a VAR review, it was established that the Rayo winger was level.

The decision was overturned and the goal stood.
