LASK Linz, featuring Samuel Adeniran, have won the Austrian title with a 3-0 victory away to Austria Vienna on Sunday, completing a domestic double.
According to L'Équipe, their Austrian Cup triumph three weeks earlier ended a 61-year wait for a major honour.
Until now, LASK had only two major trophies to their name, secured in the same year, 1965.
This season they finished two points clear of Sturm Graz, the back-to-back champions.
LASK will enter the Champions League play-offs on the champions path, a route that also includes AEK Athens, Celtic and Viking FK. They can hope to reach the league phase for the first time in their history.
