Lazio ‘have made’ offer for Leicester City teenager Lorenz Hutchinson | OneFootball

Football Insider reports that Lazio have lodged an offer with Leicester City for 18-year-old striker Lorenz Hutchinson.

The Biancocelesti have been seeking a new centre-forward all summer, and their shortlist has reportedly narrowed to Mauro Icardi, a free agent, and Andrea Pinamonti, whose Sassuolo contract expires next year.

Hutchinson, who came through Leicester’s academy, scored four goals and supplied three assists in 12 Premier League 2 appearances last season.

He also hit 15 goals in as many matches in the U18 Premier League. The teenager has Jamaican heritage and has three caps and one goal for England Under-19s.

Leicester’s stance on the bid is not yet known, though the Foxes have already sold several promising youngsters following their relegation to League One.

Lazio signed 19-year-old Bruno Galassi from Real Madrid this summer, and the youngster impressed in pre-season and could see occasional first-team involvement. A comparable hybrid role could be envisaged for Hutchinson should he arrive in Formello.
