Il Messaggero reports that Lazio have been offered Norwich City youngster Oscar Schwartau and are considering him for the playmaker role, that he is one of several targets with no talks yet opened with Norwich, that negotiations for fellow Dane Jonathan Asp Jensen, a Bayern Munich youngster, are advanced, and that Gennaro Gattuso prefers Dinamo Zagreb’s Luka Stojkovic for the position.
Gattuso is shifting from Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 to a 4-2-3-1, and Lazio still lack a natural creator behind the striker.
Schwartau, 20, is an attacking midfielder who came through at Brondby IF. In 2022, he became their youngest first team player at 16 years and 61 days.
He joined Norwich in 2024 for €2.5 million. This season he made 38 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals with two assists as the Canaries finished ninth in the Championship.
His contract runs to June 2028 with an option for a further year. Transfermarkt values him at €7 million.
